The Legacy
The Yo’el Foundation was born from the legacy of Michael Yo’el Hood, whose life exemplified courage, compassion, and service. Having faced his own mental health battles with strength and determination, Michael became a champion for hope and healing among his peers. His ability to lead, uplift, and give wholeheartedly—even to strangers—continues to inspire this work.
Our purpose is to ensure that underprivileged youth and adults never have to face mental health struggles alone because of financial hardship or lack of resources. We exist to provide pathways to treatment, restore dignity, and create safe spaces for healing, growth, and transformation.

The Yo’el Foundation Mission Statement
The Yo’el Foundation exists to honor the life, heart, and legacy of Michael Yo’el Hood by providing access to compassionate mental health support, treatment resources, and healing opportunities for underprivileged youth and adults. Inspired by Michael’s generous spirit, leadership, and unwavering commitment to uplifting others, our mission is to break barriers to mental wellness, restore hope, and empower individuals to live healthier, stronger, and purpose-filled lives.

The Yo’el Foundation Purpose Statement
